Dothan, Ala.(WDNews) — Authorities have identified the victim in a Dothan homicide investigation after a mans body was discovered Saturday morning.
According to Coroner Robert Byrd, the victim is identified as 27-year-old Rickie Temmis of Dothan. Byrd told WDNews the shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. Friday night.
The victim’s body was found the following morning in a yard near the intersection of Owens Street and Mauldin Drive, in the Cloverdale subdivision.
Earlier reports indicated shell casings were located along Owens Street. Approximately 10 shell casings were observed in the roadway near the scene.
Dothan Police have confirmed the case is being investigated as a murder. No information about a suspect is available at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details are expected to be released.
