ASHFORD, Ala. (WDNews) — Families are reminded that free meals remain available for children and teens through the Community Caring Hands Foundation’s Summer Feeding Program in Ashford.
According to program information, free breakfast and lunch meals are available for children and teens ages 2 to 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through July 31, 2026.
Participants can pick up multiple days of meals during each visit, and meals may be picked up by children, teens or guardians.
The program is being offered at Mary’s Sandwich Shop, located at 309 Midland St. in Ashford.
Organizers say the program helps provide healthy meals to local children during the summer months when school is not in session. Families interested in participating can visit the site during the designated pickup times.
