Dothan, Ala. (WDNews) — A popular community event is bringing book lovers through the doors this week as the Friends of the Library Big Book Sale continues at the Dothan Houston County Library System.
Organizers say the annual sale has already seen strong turnout, with residents browsing a wide selection of books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, puzzles and magazines. The event not only gives shoppers a chance to stock up at low prices, but also supports local library programs.
There are three days left for the public to take part, with special pricing scheduled through the weekend.
Bargain shoppers can take advantage of 25-cent items on Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event wraps up with a free day on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., giving visitors the opportunity to take home items at no cost. After 6 p.m. Sunday, all remaining items will be moved to the Westgate Library patio, where they will be available to the public for free around the clock.
Library officials encourage residents to stop by before the sale ends and take advantage of the remaining deals.
