Dothan, AL. (WDNews) – Wiregrass Daily met with Kendall Shows and Adam Jones to discuss SEACT’s upcoming production of Annie, which will take place at the recently renovated Dothan Opera House. Shows takes on the role of Miss Hannigan, a character she has dreamed of playing since childhood after being inspired by Carol Burnett’s iconic portrayal. Jones plays Oliver Warbucks, bringing the character to life with a practiced New York accent.

The production features a cast of 35 performers, including eight young actors portraying the orphans, ranging from third through ninth grade and representing schools across the Wiregrass. A dedicated crew supports the show with detailed period costumes, props, wigs, and technical elements enhanced by the Opera House’s updated sound and digital backdrop capabilities.

Audiences will also see Willow, a yellow lab playing Sandy. Performances run March 10-March 14, at 7 pm each night with a Saturday matinee at 2 pm. Tickets and additional information are available at seact.com.
