CHIPLEY, Fla. (WDNews) — A Chipley man was taken into custody in Escambia County on Dec. 3 after investigators issued a warrant connected to the sexual battery of a child under 12.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said the case began on Dec. 2 when a possible sex offense involving a minor was reported. Deputies investigated the allegations and identified 38-year-old David Christopher Dirian as the suspect.
Dirian was arrested the following day in Escambia County, where he remains in jail. Authorities said he will be transported back to Washington County to face the charge.
