DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Wallace Community College’s preliminary fall 2026 enrollment has reached 4,566 students, up 5.9% from last fall, according to the college.

The increase marks Wallace’s fourth consecutive year of enrollment growth.

“Wallace is growing!” the college said in a social media post.

Since fall 2020, enrollment has increased 23.9%, according to Wallace. The college said students are choosing its programs to prepare for transfer to other colleges and careers in health sciences, technical fields and more.

Wallace also reported a statewide milestone: The Alabama Community College System has surpassed 100,000 credit students for the first time since 2010.

“Wallace is also proud to contribute to a major statewide milestone,” the college said.
