Police Searching For Missing Dothan Teen AMyah Shorter

Dothan, Ala. (WDNews) — The Dothan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing juvenile who was last seen earlier this week.

According to police, 16-year-old A’Myah Shorter was last seen around 6:25 p.m. on April 14, 2026, at a residence in the 500 block of Headland Avenue.

Authorities describe Shorter as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing around 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. At the time she was last seen, she was wearing a black and red Chicago Bulls jacket, blue jeans, and white and green shoes. She was also carrying a purple book bag.

Police say her hair was styled in a ponytail, and she may still be in the Dothan area.
