DOTHAN, Ala (WDNews) — As Dothan High School prepares to compete in the AHSAA Final Four in Birmingham on Thursday, March 5, 2026, excitement is building across the Wiregrass.
Dothan City Schools officials say Thursday will remain a normal instructional day for all students and staff districtwide.
Dothan High students who plan to attend the game must show a valid game ticket and check in at a designated DCS location at the venue. Students who complete the check-in process will have their absence recorded as a virtual day for March 5.
School leaders say students will have three school days to complete any required make-up work, in accordance with Dothan High School guidelines.
Families with students at other DCS campuses are encouraged to contact their child’s principal with any attendance-related questions.
District officials say they appreciate the strong community support and remain focused on balancing school spirit with academic expectations as Dothan High advances to the Final Four.
