OZARK, Ala. (WDNews) – An area high school is once again searching for a head football coach after a brief tenure ended unexpectedly.

Ozark City Schools announced Feb. 24 that Jacob Kelley has resigned as head football coach, citing personal family reasons. Kelley had been hired in January and served just over a month in the role.

School officials said Assistant Athletic Director Josh Mauldin will oversee day-to-day football operations and off-season conditioning while the district begins its search for a replacement.

Leaders say the hiring process will begin immediately, with the goal of conducting a thorough search to ensure the program is prepared for the upcoming season.
