DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — A little Christmas magic is coming to DOTHAN later this month as Dothan Leisure Services prepares to welcome families for a morning filled with cookies, crafts, and Santa Claus himself.
Children ages 12 and under are invited to enjoy the free Cookies With Santa event on Friday, Dec. 20, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Andrew Belle Community Center Gymnasium on Lake Street. The event is designed to give families a chance to slow down, celebrate the season, and make memories together.
Inside the gym, children can take part in holiday arts and crafts, enjoy cookies and milk, and gather for story time with Santa. A meet-and-greet and photo opportunity with Santa will also be available, and toys will be handed out to children on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
The holiday spirit extends beyond the event itself. A Toys for Tots donation box has been placed at the Westgate Recreation Center on Recreation Road, giving the community a chance to help brighten the holidays for even more children. Donations will be accepted through Dec. 19 at 3 p.m.
