DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — With cold nights ahead, SEACH will open a warming shelter Sunday, December 14, through Monday morning, operating from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The shelter will be located in the First Baptist Church gym at 300 W. Main Street in DOTHAN.
Organizers say volunteers are needed to help staff the shelter, and donations are being accepted to support those seeking warmth. All donations can be dropped off at 1001 Montana Street, the Dothan Housing location.

Items needed include:
• Hygiene items such as toothpaste, deodorant, and pads
• Socks, gloves, and warm clothing
• Snacks and canned goods
• Hand sanitizer
• Cleaning supplies
• Warm meals for individuals staying overnight
Officials say community support is crucial as temperatures fall across the Wiregrass.
