KINSEY, Ala. (WDNews) — A chaotic series of events in Kinsey ended in an arrest Thursday afternoon after witnesses say a speeding driver caused multiple dangerous incidents before fleeing on foot.

The incident began around 3:30 p.m., when witnesses reported seeing a silver Kia traveling down Omussee Road at a high rate of speed. The driver allegedly forced another vehicle off the road before continuing toward Walden and Watson Bridge Road without slowing down. As he attempted to turn, police say he struck a truck that was stopped at the four-way intersection head on.

Kinsey Police Chief Mock told WDNews the driver then ran from the crash scene toward a nearby home on Watson Bridge Road. The victim of the truck called 911, and witnesses chased the suspect to a residence, where a homeowner held him at gunpoint until officers arrived.

Chief Mock confirmed the man, identified as Mack Hall out of Georgia, was taken into custody. Hall is being charged with obstruction of government operations, two counts of reckless endangerment, and leaving the scene of an accident.
