Dothan, Al. (WDNews) – Clay Dempsey, Director of Dothan Performing Arts, joined today’s episode of What’s Happening Wiregrass to recap the success of Dothan’s Fourth of July celebration and preview upcoming events happening throughout Downtown Dothan.
Dempsey shared that thousands attended the city’s first drone show, which brought the community together and highlighted months of planning and collaboration between multiple city departments to create a safe and memorable event.
Dempsey also highlighted several upcoming events, including monthly yoga at Porter Park, Wiregrass Fest on Aug. 1, and the return of Circle Sessions on July 25 at the Dothan Opera House. He discussed the city’s continued investment in live music through free concerts, community partnerships, and participation in the Music Resiliency Network, an initiative designed to help strengthen Dothan’s music scene and support future growth.
