Dothan, Al. (WDNews) – Wiregrass Daily met with Dothan Preforming Arts representatives Daniel Lewis and Ashley Kane to discuss an extensive lineup of entertainment and community events planned throughout June and into July.
The schedule begins June 4 with Steve Earle at the Dothan Opera House, followed by Movies in the Park featuring “Back to the Future” on June 12.
Other highlights include comedian Jordan Stanley’s headlining performance on June 13, Moonlighters in the Park on June 18, the Juneteenth Jubilee on June 20, and free performances by both the U.S. Army Band and U.S. Naval Band later in the month.
Reservations are required for the military band performances.
Additional events include Shakespeare in the Park, the Park Concert Series featuring Jasmine Gant, and a concert with Molly Hatchet and FireHouse.
Looking ahead, organizers are preparing a citywide Fourth of July celebration featuring live music, food vendors, family activities, and a 300-drone aerial show. Officials also previewed upcoming attractions including Circle Sessions, Cinderella, The Golden Girls Musical, and comedian Matt Matthews.
