Dothan, Al. (WDNews) – Jessica Moore joined What’s Happening Wiregrass to highlight the impact of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Ozark chapter and share details about an upcoming fundraiser. Moore, who has been with the organization for over 20 years and now serves as CEO, discussed how the club provides a wide range of opportunities for local youth.
From tutoring and summer learning programs to sports, arts, and music lessons, the club focuses on both education and enrichment. Moore also shared that a new teen center now offers workforce training, including trade skills and certifications to help teens transition directly into careers after high school.
The organization is preparing for its annual Aces for Kids fundraiser on April 23 at the Ozark Civic Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. with an extended social hour featuring live jazz, charcuterie, and auctions, followed by dinner and a live auction beginning at 6:45 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased online through the club’s website, from board members, or at the door the night of the event.
Now in its 31st year, the fundraiser plays a vital role in keeping membership costs low while expanding programs, ensuring more children in the community have access to valuable resources and opportunities.
