Dothan, AL. (WDNews) – Melissa Voynich, Dale County Extension Director, joined the first episode of What’s Happening Wiregrass? With Katelyn to discuss the upcoming Hounds Hunting with Heart 2026 event benefiting the Vivian B. Adams School.

The annual event raises funds for the multi-county school that serves individuals of all abilities, offering hands-on learning experiences and daily skill-building opportunities. Organizers say every dollar raised goes directly back to the school, helping fund projects like new playground areas and student field trips.

Hounds Hunting with Heart will take place April 11 at the Dale County Agplex and will feature a full day of activities. Guests can enjoy a car show, dog demonstrations, vendors, concessions, and both live and silent auctions. A dog costume contest will also be part of the day’s fun.

Admission is free, and all proceeds benefit local nonprofits. Community members are encouraged to attend, bring their families, and support a meaningful cause.
