Dothan, Al (WDNews) – Wiregrass Daily News sat down with Tracy Adams, junior ROTC instructor at Dothan High School, to discuss the program’s upcoming steak sale fundraiser supporting local cadets. Adams has served as an instructor at the school for fourteen years after retiring from a twenty-six year career in the National Guard.

The annual steak sale helps fund several activities for the program, including the military ball, a cadet field day, and a planned trip to Wild Adventures. Tickets are fifteen dollars and include a 10-to-12 ounce ribeye, baked potato, and roll.

Meals will be distributed through a convenient drive-through pickup on March 26 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. behind Dothan High School. Drivers can enter near Jack’s and follow the route around the campus where cadets will place meals directly into vehicles.

Tickets can be purchased from JROTC cadets, at the front office of Dothan High, or by calling 334-685-6703. Adams says the fundraiser also teaches cadets responsibility and teamwork while supporting opportunities for the program’s 121 cadets.
