Dothan, Al. (WDNews) – Wiregrass Daily News met with Hayden Camp, workforce liaison for Region Six, to discuss an upcoming regional job fair aimed at connecting job seekers with local employers and support services. Camp’s coverage area spans ten counties, from Pike County through Houston County, as well as Butler and Crenshaw counties, serving as a connection between the Wiregrass business community and leadership in Montgomery.
The job fair will take place Wednesday at the Dothan Civic Center, with sessions from 9 to 11 a.m. and again from 1 to 3 p.m. More than 60 businesses and service agencies are expected to participate, offering opportunities ranging from entry-level positions to jobs requiring certifications or degrees.
Attendees can expect on-site interviews, resume assistance, and access to computers for online applications. Service agencies will also be available to help remove barriers such as lack of identification or digital resumes.
Employers hiring individuals with prior incarceration will be clearly marked.
Additional information, including a list of participating businesses, can be found on the Dothan Career Center and Dothan Alabama Area Jobs Facebook pages.
