Dothan, Al. (WDNews) -Wiregrass Daily News sat down with representatives from Wiregrass United Way to spotlight the impact of Giving Tuesday and a major opportunity for donors this year. Board of Trustees Chair Holly Smith and Campaign Chair Ross Bonura shared how the annual day of giving follows the busy holiday shopping weekend and shifts the focus toward generosity across the community.
This year, Five Star Credit Union is offering a fifty-thousand-dollar match, doubling donations or pledges made on Giving Tuesday and helping United Way move closer to its campaign goal.
With more than forty partnering agencies across the Wiregrass, the organization works to support families, children, hunger relief, workforce development, and more. Leaders emphasized how each contribution is carefully stewarded and stretched to meet a wide range of local needs.
Donors can give online at wiregrassunitedway.org, visit the United Way’s office on Foster Street in downtown Dothan, or connect with any board member to make a pledge.
The excitement around reaching the campaign goal continues to grow as Giving Tuesday arrives.
