Dothan, Al. (WDNews) – Wiregrass Daily News met with Eddie from the Murphy Family McDonald’s and Steve from the Kiwanis Club of Dothan to discuss the upcoming pancake breakfast fundraiser.

For 55 years, the Kiwanis Club has hosted the breakfast, a beloved community tradition that supports local youth and service projects. Steve, now the club’s treasurer, has embraced the lighthearted title of “pancake dude,” reflecting his enthusiasm for the event. Eddie explained that McDonald’s partnership has made the breakfast more efficient by providing food and resources, allowing the Kiwanis Club to focus on serving the community.

The 2025 Pancake Breakfast will take place September 15–21, offering families a week to enjoy stacks of pancakes while giving back. Tickets are available by calling or texting 334-355-6877.

Though the event has faced challenges, including the pandemic and facility renovations, both organizations remained committed to keeping the tradition alive. Together, they continue to strengthen community spirit, one plate of pancakes at a time.
