ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDNews) — The Enterprise Fire Department is helping local women battling breast cancer through its annual Breast Cancer Awareness T-shirt fundraiser.
According to the City of Enterprise, firefighters presented a $749 check to the Coffee County Family Services Center on Wednesday, Oct. 21. The money was raised through the department’s 2026 fundraiser.
“Our community continues to show up for people facing difficult circumstances, and this is a great example of that support in action,” Fire Chief Christopher Davis said. “We’re grateful to everyone who purchased a shirt and helped make this fundraiser possible. When our community has our backs, it helps us make a difference for our neighbors who need it most.”
The Coffee County Family Services Center provides breast health education, information about available screening programs and help with transportation expenses for treatment. These services are especially important for women who are uninsured or underinsured.
“October is an important reminder of the impact breast cancer has on individuals and families, but the need for support continues all year long,” Davis said. “We’re proud to support Coffee County Family Services Center for a second year and help contribute to the work they do for women in our community. We’re glad to play a small part in helping them provide resources and assistance when it’s needed most.”
This is the second consecutive year the fire department has donated proceeds from its Breast Cancer Awareness T-shirt fundraiser to the center.
Last year’s fundraiser raised $830. Combined with this year’s $749 donation, the department has contributed $1,579 over two years to support local women affected by breast cancer.
The annual fundraiser gives residents a way to support breast cancer awareness while helping women in their own community receive important resources and assistance.
