OPP, Ala. (WDNews) — Families in Opp and surrounding communities will have two opportunities to enjoy free outdoor movie nights this summer thanks to the Opp & Covington County Area Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber is hosting two family-friendly movie events designed to bring residents together for an evening of entertainment, food and fun.
The first movie night is scheduled for July 17 at the Opp Farmers Market and will feature Zootopia 2. Games and concessions will begin at 6:30 p.m., with the movie starting at dusk.
The second event will take place July 31 at the Opp City Pool and will feature Lilo & Stitch. Swimming will begin at 7 p.m., followed by the movie at dusk.
Popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase at both events. Sandy’s Sweet Treats will also be on-site each night offering a variety of desserts and snacks.
Organizers encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs, blankets or towels to enjoy the outdoor movie experience comfortably.
The events are free and open to the public. Community members are invited to gather with family and friends for what organizers hope will be two memorable summer evenings in the City of Opportunity.
