Dothan, Ala. (WDNews) — A family-friendly fundraiser is set to bring the community together later this month, with a scavenger hunt and auction benefiting the Wiregrass Horse Rescue and Sanctuary.

The event will take place April 18 at Folklore Brewery & Meadery. Organizers say registration begins at 10 a.m., with participants setting out on a scavenger hunt across the Dothan area.

Tickets are priced at $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Admission includes lunch and $30 in “Rescue Bucks,” which can be used toward items in the afternoon auction. Children under 12 will eat free with the purchase of an adult ticket.

Participants will complete the scavenger hunt by car or motorcycle, collecting photos of listed items from around the area. Prizes will be awarded to the winners.

In addition to the hunt, the event will feature kids games, door prize drawings, and other activities aimed at families.

The auction is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., with proceeds supporting the Wiregrass Horse Rescue and Sanctuary.
