Dothan, Ala. (WDNews) — Wiregrass 211 and The Exchange Center for Child Abuse Prevention are teaming up to host a unique community event aimed at strengthening family bonds while supporting local services.
According to organizers, the “Dynamic Duo Ball” will be held May 12, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Alfa Building at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds.
The superhero-themed event is designed as a mother-son celebration, featuring food, music and interactive activities. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their “secret identities” or wear superhero-themed attire for the evening.
Tickets are priced at $60 for one mother and one son, with a $10 add-on option for additional guests. Organizers say all proceeds will directly support both Wiregrass 211 and The Exchange Center.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for local businesses, with multiple levels offering event recognition and promotional benefits.
Proceeds from the event will help fund community resource coordination through Wiregrass 211 and child abuse prevention services provided by The Exchange Center.
Organizers say the event aims to bring families together while supporting programs that provide help and protection across the Wiregrass area.
