DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — According to the City of Dothan Government, the Dothan Utilities Water Department will temporarily close the southernmost southbound lane of Montgomery Highway and the right-turn lane from North Park Avenue at the intersection of Montgomery Highway and North Park Avenue to allow for water main repairs.
The lane closures are scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. and are expected to remain in place until approximately 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
City officials said the work is part of Dothan Utilities’ ongoing efforts to maintain safe and reliable water service for customers.
Motorists can expect signs, cones, barrels and flaggers in the area to help direct traffic and maintain traffic flow around the work zone. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible and use caution while traveling through the area.
Officials said crews will work to minimize disruptions and will reopen the roadway as soon as repairs are completed.
