Dothan, Al. (WDNews) – Mary Colburn with Wiregrass Gives joined What’s Happening Wiregrass to discuss the organization’s upcoming Wiregrass Stampede, a two-night rodeo fundraiser set for July 10 and 11 at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds.
The family-friendly event will feature professional rodeo action, including bull riding, barrel racing, calf roping, mutton busting, and the always-popular calf scramble for children. Attendees can also enjoy live music from Matt Vincent on Friday night, performances by the Heart of Dixie Drill Team both evenings, food vendors, retail booths, and activities for all ages.
Colburn said every dollar raised supports Wiregrass Gives’ mission of helping bridge gaps for underserved families, veterans, children, and individuals facing hardships across the Wiregrass. Because the organization is entirely volunteer-run, all proceeds go directly back into programs that provide assistance throughout the community.
